These are not extras. They are the work before anything is put in front of staff.
Data and identity
What the system can see, and which identity it uses to see it.
Permissions
Least privilege. A model with everyone's mailbox is not a design.
Security and privacy
Treat the tool as a system with attack surface. Default personal data to exclusion.
Governance and compliance
Approved tools, acceptable use, and the obligations this business actually has. No framework theatre.
Human oversight
Someone identifiable owns outputs that affect money, access, customers or people.
Training and review
People know what it must not do. Quality, cost and permissions are watched after go-live.
Define the result before the build: time given back, fewer errors, a shorter cycle. Measure it where you reasonably can. If the only benefit is that the tool exists, turn it off. Sometimes the correct recommendation is not to automate.
